A sandbox anyone can launch without signing in must not open connections to the outside world. That is why outgoing email, invitations, integrations, SSO, API and data exchange are locked in the sandbox: it can neither be misused for unwanted messages nor serve as a starting point for access to third-party systems. This protects you, your colleagues and our customers. Once you convert to a trial, which is tied to a business email address, these areas open up; file upload is unlocked with the purchase of a licence.

Frequently asked questions about the sandbox

What to know before you click

The eight hours run from launch, regardless of how active you are. Afterwards the sandbox stays readable for 24 hours; during that time you can still convert it into a 30-day trial and keep everything you created or changed. Once that grace period ends, the sandbox is deleted with all its data.

For the sandbox we ask for neither your name, nor an email address, nor payment details. You only accept the terms of use and the privacy policy. Technically necessary are a session cookie and your IP address: it is counted for one hour to limit abuse and recorded per change in the sandbox's audit log. Both are deleted together with the sandbox.

You work in the same software our customers use: project planning, Kanban, Gantt, risks, wiki, reports, meetings, time tracking, workflows and dashboards without restriction. Not included are team invitations, SSO, integrations and webhooks, API access, file upload, data import and export, the AI assistant, the funding radar and outgoing email. These areas are visible but locked, and open up after converting to a trial (file upload after purchase).

Not in the sandbox: you work alone as administrator and can shape roles and permissions freely, but cannot add further users. After converting to a trial you can invite up to five colleagues.

Yes, please do. Shift dates, drag cards across the board, create new projects, risks or reports. Nobody else works in your sandbox. If you want a fresh start, sign out and launch a new one; two launches per hour are possible per network address.

Straight from inside the running sandbox, without a restart: the workspace continues as a 30-day trial with all its data. You need a business email address (confirmed by code), a password, your name and some details about your company. No payment details are required. After 30 days the trial becomes read-only; the data is retained until it is deleted after the period stated in the privacy policy.

In the same environment as production, in ISO 27001 certified data centres in Germany. The sandbox is a tenant of its own, separated from others by the same mechanisms that separate paying customers from each other. After expiry and the grace period it is deleted with all its data.

No. WORKSPACE.PM runs in the browser, nothing needs to be installed. A desktop screen is the most comfortable, but the interface also works on tablets and smartphones.
